For me, good health is not complicated, we don’t need to be experts in anything to understand it – it’s a fundamental, it’s in our original wiring, but for some those wires have become crossed!
My aim is to help as many people as I can to ‘remember’ what I believe we all know deep inside, our inner wisdom knows how to look after us so that we can have vibrant lives but many of us have buried that ‘knowing’ so deep under layers of anxiety, inadequate nutrition and toxicity that we have lost that instinctual common sense.
The days of “Oh, I can’t help it, it’s in my genes”, are numbered… to a large degree we can take control of our own health, IF we are ready to do that. We are discovering that what the ancients said eons ago about diet and lifestyle choices was spot on for our health. Hippocrates in 400 BC with his ‘You are what you eat’ is coming back into fashion again.
There is nothing more important than your health, without it the rest of life’s joy’s pale into insignificance. “A healthy person has a thousand wishes, a sick person only has one”. We do have a choice, we can take responsibility for our health and take our power back, we can create a better world for ourselves and those around us. You don’t have to do it on your own, there is help out there
Wellbeing – what is well being, everyone’s talking about it nowadays…the simple version is, ‘being well’…but not just physically, it’s about feeling safe, secure, content, happy, at peace with yourself… and that is the ultimate in being successful.
On a personal level and as a therapist and yoga teacher I have experienced a lack of wellbeing many times and bar grabbing the learning that often comes from those dark places i.e.. I don’t want that again in my life! …then I think it’s our responsibility to come back to wellness as quickly as possible.
I guide people to know the 5 pillars of health and wellbeing, Movement, Sleep, Hydration, Mindset (Attitude) and Breathing…. that all sit on a foundation, on a bedrock of Nutrition.
I’m not interested in ‘average’, average health, average relationships, an average life ….our dreams maybe simple, they maybe grand, that doesn’t matter… and even if we don’t achieve our ultimate goals lets at least give it our best shot. My worst fear is to get to the end of this life and look back and think ‘hmmm, I could have made a bit more effort’.
I help people face to face individually, or in a Retreat environment and also online with Skype or Zoom. You can’t always change your circumstances but you can change your attitude….Life should be fun, if it’s not, your not doing it right ! Jim Rohn used to say…Don’t expect your life to be better, YOU get Better.
